Guided tour of the dam

Sound and light tours are organised in the bowels of the highest gravity dam in the world. Opening of the dam tours, from 12 June at 1.30 p.m. until 3 October 2022 inclusive, every day, including weekends. Outside this period, the access road to the dam is closed by the State of Valais for the winter season.

With 700 metres long, the Grande Dixence zip line is well worth a visit. It runs along the wall of the highest gravity dam in the world at an altitude of 2400 m. Throw yourself into the void and brush against this concrete colossus for guaranteed thrills!

Exhibition

The construction of Grande Dixence was not only a technical challenge, but also a human one. The exhibition "At the heart of the history of Grande Dixence will help you discover this epic of the last century.

Sensory Trails

Two trails installed on the crown and along the Lac des Dix, allow children aged 4 to 12 as well as adults to put their sight, smell, hearing and touch to work. These two offers are mainly aimed at families, with fun stations combining manual workshops, blind tastings, observation and quizzes (experimental backpacks are available at the information pavilion).

Ibex Trail

This educational trail allows you to discover the history, fauna and flora of the Val des Dix, upstream from the Grande Dixence dam. The Bouquetins trail leads to the Roux pass at 2800 m above sea level
